Campaign highlight 12 September 2024

Logistics UK has been invited to join the Green Growth Forum in Northern Ireland by the Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development.

This forum brings key stakeholders together to help shape the Northern Ireland Executive's Green Growth Strategy charting Northern Ireland's path to net zero.

Logistics UK has been continually raising in meetings with Northern Ireland Ministers, government officials and in the media, the big challenges facing the logistics sector in the path to net zero and the need for government intervention and incentivisation to support a fair transition to a green economy.

The business group has recently shared a new briefing document outlining its main asks of government which includes a call for better partnership working between the Northern Ireland Executive and the logistics industry on decarbonisation and driving sustainable growth.
