Improving communications about MOT testing

Following Logistics UK’s challenge to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) as to the lack of progress and communications regarding the Heavy Vehicle Testing Review undertaken by the Department for Transport and reported on in 2021, DVSA released a 'Moving On blog' on GOV.UK on 24 November. Although the blog provides an update on some of the recommendations, Logistics UK still has some concerns as to the examiner resources to provide sufficient service levels. Additionally, Logistics UK has raised the lack of progress on the recommendation around test frequencies for Earned Recognition operators, both with DVSA and the DfT, and has asked for an update on progress and an action plan to be provided at the next liaison meeting on 12 January 2023.
