Leading telematics provider Webfleet Solutions and sustainable mobility solutions specialist Bridgestone joined forces with the organisers of ITT Hub to successfully launch an interactive live theatre at this summer’s inaugural trade show.

ELECTRIC MOBILITY THEATRE

ITT Hub Electric Mobility Theatre was one of the new features introduced to enhance the visitor experience at the two-day show, which ran June 30 – July 1, and brought together presentations and digital content centring around the electrification of fleets.

Delegates were given the opportunity to view live content delivered by key industry leaders, six times per day, in a specially created COVID-secure seated theatre at the heart of the exhibition hall.

The programme included a presentation by VP of Webfleet Solutions and Bridgestone Mobility Solutions Taco van der Leij on commercial EV data insights, whilst Simone Rando, Head of Consumer Tyre Development at Bridgestone Technical Center, and Greg Ward, Commercial Business Unit Director at Bridgestone North Europe region, introduced delegates to The Lightyear One Solar Project and Bridgestone EV Tyre Technologies.

Tina Mould, Capital Programme Project Manager at Oxford City Council, also teamed up with Webfleet Solutions EV expert Richard Parker and Owain Pearce, Transport Manager at Oxford Direct Services, to explore the challenges of decarbonising for local authorities and how data insights can be used to confidently switch to commercial EV.

RACE TO DECARBONISE

“With the race to decarbonise transport intensifying, businesses must look to embrace technology and innovation to support their electric fleet transition,” said Beverley Wise, Sales Director UK & Ireland, Webfleet Solutions.

“ITT Hub was the perfect opportunity for operators to learn more about how telematics data – and Webfleet Solutions’ new EV fleet management tools – can help shape their e-mobility strategies.

“Our video presentation programme offered insight into how EV fleet management software can hold the key to businesses making the right decisions at the right times, enabling them to maximise their cost savings and setting them on the path to an efficient, financially-robust electric future.

“ITT Hub Electric Mobility Theatre was a great success, with our key speakers delivering valuable and expert insights and helping delegates better understand the changing fleet landscape.”

Greg Ward, Commercial Business Unit Director for Bridgestone North Europe region, said: “Bridgestone is not only a premium tyre manufacturer, but also a mobility solutions provider for commercial fleets. Our presence at the ITT Hub gave us the perfect platform to communicate this in an ever-changing world.

“Our partnership with Lightyear One, which was brought to life at ITT Hub, is an example of the giant strides we are making in sustainable solutions for an electric world. At the show, we also showcased our new U-AP 002 bus and coach tyre that has been specifically designed to meet the needs of an electric fleet. Its superior rolling resistance and CO2 levels reflect the ever-changing world of transport.

“These changes are here to stay, and we are delighted that we had this opportunity to present them to such a significant commercial audience, which couldn’t be more relevant to us.”
