Revised Operator Licence Compliance Information Service available from September
The Operator Licence Compliance Information Service (OLCIS) has undergone a full review and update across a range of subject areas within the transport industry. This update will be available from September exclusively to OLCIS subscribers.
From the continued implementation of smart tachograph 2, to an increase in drivers’ hours fines, there have been many developments since the last update.
Driver licensing continues to develop digital services and online management, Scotland has introduced a parking ban and London’s Direct Vision Standard (DVS) is escalating its requirements. The industry has also seen developments in alternative fuels and highlighted the most common tachograph infringement noted by Logistics UK’s analysis experts - see the Working Time chapter for more details.
Vehicle loading, particularly load security, has been a focus of enforcement, plus Logistics UK’s policy team has been working to highlight and develop approaches to the maintenance of alternatively fuelled vehicles.
All is reflected in the update along with reviewed frequently asked questions to ensure they echo the queries the Member Advice Centre regularly receives. As well as the technical content, the layout has been reviewed, making it easier to read, and introduced QR codes to make referencing online content easier.
The OLCIS product is designed for all transport operators, but it is particularly useful for those new to logistics, those who run a small fleet or those where transport is not their key operational function. It includes an easy-to-use guide, access to the OLCIS hub and a monthly bespoke e-news to help your operation stay compliant and up to date.
