My tacho is overdue...
Q. Our smart tachograph vehicle is due it’s two year tachograph calibration. We can’t get it booked in until after it is due. Can we use the vehicle?
A. If you use the vehicle and are stopped by DVSA who discover that the vehicle is overdue it’s calibration, they will issue an Offence Rectification Notice. The notice states that if the offence is rectified within a set period of time and documentary evidence is produced to this effect, then no further action will be taken. If however, the operator fails to respond within the time period, DVSA examiners will conduct follow up enquiries.
