Consultations which opened in June  

HMRC – The future of customs declarations  HMRC is welcoming views on potential simplifications to customs declarations and the use of technology to facilitate declarations and other customs processes. Released 29/06/2023 - closes 08/09/2023.  

HMRC - Bringing goods into the UK temporarily  

HMRC is welcoming views on how it can improve the Temporary Admission procedure in the UK and simplify processes for traders and individuals. Released 29/06/2023 - closes 22/09/2023.  

DfT - Proposed instrument to regulate traffic on M20 motorway: call for views  

This consultation considers a proposed statutory instrument that enables National Highways to regulate traffic using Operation Brock after the current temporary traffic regulation order expires. Released 29/06/2023 - closes 27/07/2023.  

DEFRA - Charging arrangements at government-run border control posts  

This consultation seeks views on the government’s plan to introduce a Common User Charge to recover operating costs at government-run border control posts. Opened 12/06/2023 - closes 09/07/2023.  

DfT - Review of the Public Service Vehicles Accessibility Regulations 2000  

A call for evidence to review bus and coach accessibility regulations. Opened 12/06/2023 - closes 04/09/2023.  

DVA – Changing the cost of driving tests and vehicle tests  

This consultation proposes an increase to the fees for some services provided by the Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA). These include practical driving tests and vehicle tests for roadworthiness and roadside enforcement. Opened 08/06/2023 - closes 03/08/2023.  

Office of the Traffic Commissioner - Seeking views on revisions to the voluntary guidelines for operators carrying passengers to designated sporting events.  

The Senior Traffic Commissioner would like to hear industry’s views on the proposed amendments to the voluntary guidelines for operators carrying passengers to designated sporting events. Opened 07/06/2023 - closes 06/07/2023.

Transport Scotland - Scotland’s pavement parking prohibitions - consultation on enforcement regulations for local authorities  

The Scottish Government has opened a consultation on pavement parking prohibitions. Opened 02/06/2023 - closes 28/07/2023.

LPC - Low Pay Commission consultation 2023  

The Low Pay Commission sought evidence to inform recommendations on minimum wage rates in 2024 and beyond. Released 23/03/2023 - closed 09/06/2023.  

DfT - Heavy vehicle testing review: call for evidence  

This call for evidence looked at options for changes to heavy vehicle testing for earned recognition (ER) operators. Released 14/04/2023 - closed 09/06/2023.  

DfT - Draft revised national networks national policy statement  

Sought views on the draft revised national networks national policy statement (NNNPS) 2023 and accompanying documents. Released 14/03/2023 - closed 06/06/2023.  

DESNZ - Support for innovation to deliver net zero  

This call for evidence looked at technological advances in many areas in order to reach net zero. Released 16/05/2023 - closed 01/06/2023.
