DfE - Developing biomethane production in Northern Ireland: call for evidence 

This call for evidence seeks information, data and views on a range of issues relating to the development of a sustainable biomethane sector in Northern Ireland. Released 17/05/2024 - closes 09/08/2024. 

DfT - Lowering the minimum age requirement for train drivers from 20 to 18 

Seeks views on lowering the minimum age requirement for train drivers from 20 to 18 to attract new people to the industry. Released 16/05/2024 - closes 13/06/2024. 

DfT - Registering historic, classic, rebuilt vehicles and vehicles converted to electric: call for evidence 

DfT are seeking evidence to help identify areas of potential change to how historic, classic, rebuilt and electrically converted vehicles are registered with DVLA. Released 09/05/2024 - closes 04/07/2024. 

DESNZ - Carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS): non-pipeline transport and cross-border CO2 networks 

DESNZ are seeking views and evidence on how to support the future deployment of non-pipeline transport and cross-border CO2 networks. Released 07/05/2024 - closes 16/07/2024.

31/05/2024 - TC - Traffic commissioners: avoiding excessive hours of work 

    This document sets out how the traffic commissioners will avoid excessive hours of work. 

    31/05/2024 - DVSA - Pwllheli Driving Test Centre Temporary Relocation

     Pwllheli Driving Test Centre will temporarily relocate between 6 June 2024 and 19 July 2024.

     If you have a test booked it will still go ahead at the date and time arranged, but will now take place at the         temporary location.

24/05/2024 - DVSA - Changes to the code of practice for enforcement weighing of vehicles 

The code of practice is used by DVSA examiners carrying out weight checks 

23/05/2024 - DVSA - Maidstone Driving Test Centre Temporary Relocation 

Maidstone Driving Test Centre will temporarily relocate between 31st May 2024 and 10th July 2024. If you have a test booked it will still go ahead at the date and time arranged, but will now take place at the temporary location. 

23/05/2024 - DfT - Road goods vehicles travelling to Europe: 2023

22/05/2024 - DVSA - The Vehicle Drivers (Certificates of Professional Competence) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 

This Statutory Instrument is bringing forward legislation to: halve the minimum course length from 7 hours down to 3.5 hours; decouple e-learning from trainer-led courses; encourage more flexibility in end of module assessments; and introduce an accelerated pathway for returning drivers.
