Transport Manager of the Year 2024 competition has now closed for entries, good luck to all entrants!
The competition for Transport Managers to showcase their extensive knowledge and professional expertise and be recognised by their peers and other industry professionals is now open for entries!
Supported once again by BP and open to all Transport Managers who either currently hold or are working towards their CPC qualification, the competition is the ideal opportunity for all entrants to showcase their talents and knowledge!
The competition allows transport managers to demonstrate their understanding of the industry and professional expertise whilst being recognised by their peers and industry professionals. To win this prestigious title, each participant will take part in virtual assignments delivered in a flexible and remote way, with the winner's presentation taking place at the Logistics Awards at the Park Plaza Hotel in London on 12th December. All finalists and a guest will be invited to the winner's presentation for FREE before the title and prizes are awarded.
Our 2023 winner was Chris Pratt of EPD Insulation Group who was awarded first place in the competition at our Birmingham Transport Manager conference on 30th November. Our runner up is Sarah Wilkes-Jones from Brakes and two finalists are Fiona Hamilton from Constellation Cold Logistics and Andrew Moore from FareShare Midlands.
What our winner said:
“Looking back from when I started my career as a van driver aged 17, I have always been motivated and found ways for me to grow within the transport industry. From enrolling myself on the ‘Young Driver Scheme Initiative’ aged 18 to becoming the transport manager at EPD Insulation Group. I am very grateful for the support of my team and EPD Insulation Group. With the encouragement, support and teamwork within EPD Insulation Group, I was able to become a finalist for Transport Manager of the year nominations. I was very proud to be announced as the winner of 2023, and being surrounded by the highest calibre of representatives in the logistic industry was the icing on the cake. Encouraging young people into the industry is important to me. I feel Transport & Logistics is not encouraged enough as a career for young people.”
Chris Pratt, Transport Manager of the Year Winner 2023.
