Pauline Bastidon
Head of Global & European Policy, FTA
Pauline is in charge of Global and European policy at FTA and of the Brussels office of FTA and FTAI , which represents the interests of FTA and FTAI members towards EU institutions.
As part of her role, Pauline leads FTA’s Brexit advocacy and information activities, ensuring that FTA and its members are provided with an informed and factual view of implications of exit from the EU and that their views and concerns are heard by policy makers.
Pauline is also responsible for the British Shippers Council of FTA, a group of retailers and manufacturers who are all involved in the purchasing of logistics services and most of which trade both within the EU and with other regions of the world.
Prior to joining FTA , Pauline worked for the Community of European Railways and Infrastructure Companies (CER) in Brussels for over three years, where she was responsible for rail freight policy and passenger tickets distribution issues, and CER’s lead on digital matters.
Before that, Pauline held several policy and public affairs positions in national and pan-European trade associations in London and Brussels, primarily in the biopharmaceutical sector. Pauline holds a degree in Politics from Cardiff University, a Diploma from Sciences-Po Bordeaux (France) and a Master’s Degree in European Integration and Governance from Bordeaux University.
