Transport Manager of the Year competition returns for it's 2nd year!
An opportunity for Transport Managers to showcase their extensive knowledge and professional expertise and be recognised by their peers and other industry professionals.
Competition is now closed for entries.
To enter, applicants must hold a valid Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (National or International) or equivalent (in accordance with paragraphs 8 to 13 of Schedule 3 of The Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995). Candidates must also be either currently named as an internal transport manager on a standard national or international goods operator licence or employed by a restricted operator licence holder to conduct a role equivalent to transport manager.
The competition will be delivered in three key stages all enabled through Logistics UK’s VLE system (virtual learning environment):
- Stage 1: Statutory requirements testing
- Stage 2: Case Study submission
- Stage 3: Online Interview
Important dates and commitments
- You will need to have internet connectivity and modern web browser to take part in all three virtual stages of the competition.
- You will need to be prepared for your case study to be considered by another professional from the industry (possibly a competitor).
- You will need to allocate 60 min of your time for Stage 1 test within Stage 1 date range (provisionally May 2023).
- Being successful at Stage 1 you will need to produce and submit your case study within Stage 2 date range (provissionally June 2023).
- Being successful at Stage 2 you will need to be available for one of the offered time slots for your online interview (provissionally July - September 2023).
- You will also be expected to attend the in person presentation ceremony at Transport Manager Birmingham on 30 November 2023 (event attendance to all finalists is free of charge).
