Kevin Green, Policy and Communications Director, Logistics UK

KG-kentico.pngKevin Green has been an Executive Director with Logistics UK for several years and has been pivotal in modernising and developing the business group’s strategy, alongside formulating and improving the effectiveness of its messaging, policy themes, industry asks and campaigns.

Green has a strong blue-chip corporate background, with a significant focus on transport and logistics. He has worked in leadership roles for a number of large corporates, including Capita, Logica, Mitie, Balfour Beatty, KPMG and PwC.

 

 

 

James Golding, Head of cargo, Heathrow Airport

James-Golding-kentico.pngJames Golding has led the development of Heathrow’s cargo proposition for the last 4 years, defining and delivering the airport’s cargo strategy as it continues to fulfil its role as the UK’s largest port by value and the UK’s only hub airport. With 12 years’ experience at Heathrow, James has a background in infrastructure project, programme and portfolio management, and previously led strategic planning for the airport’s expansion.  James is passionate about nurturing diverse and talented teams and delivering sustainable change in the aviation and logistics sector. 

 

Carlos Rodrigues, Managing Director, Renault Trucks

Carlos-kentico.pngCarlos holds 2 Master Degrees in Finance and Business Administration. He started his career in Paris as a consultant and joined the Volvo Group in 2004 and has now 20 years’ experience in the automotive sector. He has made his way up in the group and is currently the Managing Director of Renault Trucks UK & Ireland markets, the second largest market for the brand. Over the past 5 years he has been primarily focusing on developing the brand strategy and establishing a clear leadership when it comes to electric mobility and the decarbonisation of road freight. With a finance background, Carlos knows that the equation will not be easy to solve, but believes that already today, there are enough components to solve part of it and start the journey towards a fossil-free road industry.

 

 

Andrew Scott, Product Director, TVS Interfleet

Andrew-scott-kentico.pngAndrew Scott is Product Director for TVS Interfleet, the parent company of McPhee Mixers who developed the UK’s first fully electric concrete mixers, now in operation with Tarmac and Aggregate Industries. He led Renault Trucks’ decarbonisation activities for 4 years before joining TVS in February 2024. His remit now is to extend the range of electric vehicle opportunities for logistics fleets, and to increase the sustainability of mainstream vehicles through focus on body design and materials selection across TVS Interfleet’s businesses. 

He works within SMMT and the eFREIGHT 2030 consortium to present the case for further and faster decarbonisation, and is engaged with Government and other key stakeholder groups to help create the most supportive environment for the logistics industry to move to a lower carbon future. 

Andrew was recognised by Motor Transport magazine as one of the UK’s Decarbonisation Power Players in 2023. 

 

Eliot Shaw, Chief Customer and Strategy Officer, National Highways

Responsible for the strategic development of our network, our organisational transformation agenda, our analytical and economist functions, our relationships with key statutory and regulatory bodies, our customer service and our communications and corporate affairs activities 

Career includes Transformation Director at the Ministry of Justice and a number of Senior Civil Service positions at the Ministry of Justice and DfT, with his early career spent as a management consultant at Accenture 

Qualifications include: a BA in Economics and Politics; a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University; and FCIHT (Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation) 

 

Phil Roe, President, Logistics UK 

Phil-Roe-200x134.pngPhil joined Logistics UK as President in April 2022 after 5 years as a non-executive Director. Prior to joining he was a board Director at DHL Supply Chain which was the culmination of his 35 year career with DHL and XPO. He is also a non-executive Director and trustee at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport 

Phil has substantial experience of supply chain leadership across multiple customers, sectors and geographies, with 35 years’ experience in a variety of senior leadership roles within operations and functional areas. These include Managing Director, Chief Operations Officer and  Chief Customer Officer and Strategy Director. 

 

Chris Hyde, Managing Director - Convenience & Food Services, GXO Logistics 

Chris-kentico.pngHaving started in the logistics industry over 25 years ago after graduating with a business and finance degree, Chris has worked across many sectors, ranging from retail, industrial, ecommerce and primarily FMCG. Chris joined GXO in 2003 as a Contract Operations Manager. Over the course of the last 17 years, Chris has worked his way up through the organisation to hold the role as Managing Director, Convenience & Food Services.

 

Jennifer Christie, Director and Head of Logistics Partnerships, what3words

Jennifer leads the Logistics and eCommerce business at what3words working with organisations to maximise what3words capability within their logistics operations. She leads strategic partnerships and works with last-mile carriers, technology partners and their customers to integrate, use and benefit from what3words. She is currently working with organisations including Aramex, DHL, DPD UK, Yodel, Auctane and Evri.

Prior to joining what3words, Jennifer’s background was in marketing consultancy, working across social innovation, branding, marketing and PR for companies in technology, defence and security, third sector and consumer/FMCG sectors.
