Winner of the Barbara Cox – Woman of the Year 2021, Lorna joined E.ON as an IT Project Manager before moving to the fleet team to head up group-wide telematics and carbon reduction projects, subsequently being appointed Commercial Vehicle Manager.  Having worked in Germany on a global fleet project she returned to the UK and joined Royal Mail in 2014.   Whilst there she led on the Optimise Prime project, the largest commercial electric vehicle project in the UK.  In August 2019 she joined National Grid as Fleet Manager and has spearheaded many activities, more recently presenting at key events such as ITT hub, fully charged and COP26.  She holds an international CPC, is a regular and respected contributor at industry conferences and round tables, on the board of the AFP and is a judge for the Fleet News Fleet awards.   

 

Leon-Plumber.pngLeon Pulman, Business Devleopment Director, Wattstor

Leon works directly with businesses within the sector to raise awareness of Battery Energy Storage Systems and the value that is created for logistics facilities that consume energy around the clock. 

His focus is on partnering with businesses who are looking to reduce energy costs & carbon emissions, improve site resilience and electrify their fleet.  This can be achieved through a simple, fully funded partnership agreement with Wattstor.

George leads VEV’s data offering, which involves developing fleet analytics and pilot management tools to streamline the start and scaling of a fleet electrification rollout. Insights from this work directly inform our product roadmap to develop tailored functionality to support our customers.

Previously, as a Consultant, George delivered a fleet electrification strategy for an emergency service fleet, an infrastructure assessment for an OEM and developed the reporting architecture for an IOT migration.

Charlie leads proposition and go-to-market strategy at VEV, working cross-functionally with customers, product, and sales to create innovative solutions to complex fleet electrification challenges. He has consulted on strategy, innovation, and growth for major corporations in healthtech, energy, mobility, and other sectors, helping launch and scale new propositions. Charlie brings deep experience in tackling complex innovation programs and a track record of enabling rapid growth.

 

 

 

Michelle-Gardner-200x250.pngMichelle Gardner, Deputy Director - Policy, Logistics UK 

Michelle Gardner was appointed Deputy Director of Policy for Logistics UK in October 2022, having previously joined as Head of Public Policy in February 2021. Michelle oversees the development and engagement of Logistics UK policy, including on topics such as road regulation, infrastructure, trade and decarbonisation. Michelle has a background in both policy and public affairs and prior to joining Logistics UK, she was Environmental Manager at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Previously she worked for the British Retail Consortium, first leading on public affairs and then on employment and health and safety policy.
