Logistics UK and the environment
The logistics industry recognises the impact it can have on the environment and wishes to play a positive role in helping address this. Through good practice, innovation and investment into new technologies, action is being taken across the sector. Transport decarbonisation is a key focus for the industry, and it is fully committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050.
As the UK looks to achieve the goals set at COP26 in November 2021, Logistics UK will continue its engagement with the government and stakeholders on both the opportunities and barriers to achieving a more sustainable logistics industry. Logistics UK has launched the Route to Net Zero campaign to help the logistics industry come together to achieve Net Zero as quickly as possible, and to identify what logistics needs to succeed in this ambition.
