Postrack launches asset tracking business in UK
Postrack, a European GPS asset tracking company, has announced its intentions to enter into the UK market, the first time for a company founded in 2008. It belongs to its wider international growth strategy, whereby the UK has been identified as a key component.
Asset tracking – the process of monitoring and managing an organisation’s physical assets through their entire lifecycle using technologies like RFID and GPS to keep track – is a market that’s due to grow, forecast to reach $51.59 billion by 2030, according to Grand View Research. Physical tags are attached to assets and broadcast their location wherever they are in the world, helping to streamline operations, reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
Postrack's new business will provide asset management solutions for a wide range of applications spanning road transport, warehousing, international freight and containerisation. Its battery powered solutions can be attached to assets such as containers, trailers, vehicles, last-mile delivery cages and temperature-controlled produce.
These solutions are engineered to have a battery life of up to 20 years and able to withstand challenging environments.
Scandinavian logistics company PostNord already uses Postrack devices on thousands of its containers, leading to a 24% reduction in rental costs.
Elsewhere, pan-European operator NTEX has reached 100% visibility over its 1200+ European trailers, resulting in reduced downtime, operational costs, and environmental impact.
