Citroën unveils latest LCV in van range

Citroën has released the new Dispatch VTR, the latest in its flagship range that saw previous models such as Saxo, C2 and Xsara released to market. 

It features a front lip spoiler, side skirts with protective front mud guards, and a rear spoiler, along with 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with high-load capacity Nankang tyres. It is available in three colour options; icy white, perla nera black, and blue lagoon.  

The interior is reflected to match the exterior, as eco-leather seats embossed with the VTR logo are colourfast, breathable, moisture regulating and resistant to acid and alkali; particularly useful for van environments. 

It comes with a Comfort Pack – dual-zone electronic climate control, keyless entry and start, and wireless charging – and a Winter Pack, which includes a heated leather steering wheel, a heated driver’s seat, and first row thorax side airbags. 

A range of powertrain options ensures the newest model is able to run in both electric and diesel variants. The electric alternative, the e-Dispatch VTR, has a 75kWh battery and up to 230 miles of combined range. It is available for the government’s plug-in van grant, which was extended until April 2026. It provides grants of different amounts to incentivise businesses to purchase electric vehicles, depending on the size of the vehicle. This is £2,500 for small vans and £5,000 for larger. 

The company’s entire van range is available with a fully electric variant as the company strives to offfer a comprehensive electric van range in the UK. 

There are five practical models within the range depending on what is required of the vehicle; the electric quadricycle, the Ami Cargo, for instance, is well-suited to urban environments, while the Relay model is its most sturdy LCV, able to handle a payload of up to two tonnes.
