A car or a van? Volvo releases its first commercial vehicle

Volvo Car UK has expanded its electric line-up with the release of the EX30 Cargo, a new van specifically designed for business and fleet customers.

Building on the foundations of the fully electric EX30 compact SUV, the new Cargo variant provides additional practicality and load-carrying capability while retaining the comfort, technology and safety of its passenger cars.

The cargo bay was created by replacing the rear seats with a flat floor and access panel to the lower floor, maximising payload to 390kg and a load capacity of 1,000 litres. A specially designed payload bulkhead separates the cabin from the cargo area, and available load volume is increased through the modification of rear side panels and doors.

The EX30 Cargo comes in two variants: the EX30 Cargo and the EX30 Cross Country Cargo which offers additional ground clearance. The conversion can be applied to newly ordered vehicles and existing stock.

To further enhance practicality, the EX30 Cargo benefits from extended rear door access, which allows the doors to open wider for easier loading. An additional cargo work light improves visibility for the load area and the underfloor subframe introduces extra securing and mounting points to support a wide range of commercial uses.
