Upcoming works on the Severn Crossings

National Highways will be carrying out the following works on the Severn Crossings this week:
12 and 13 January

Full westbound closure of the M48 Severn Bridge between J1 & J2.

Closures from 20:00 to 06:00 both nights.

Required in order to carry out surfacing repairs, coring and survey work.

Diversion via the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.

14 January

Full eastbound closure of the M48 Severn Bridge between J2 & J1.

Closure from 20:00 on 14 January to 06:00 on 15 January.

Required in order to carry out surfacing repairs, coring and survey work.

Diversion via the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge EB.

Full westbound closure of the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge between J22 & J23.

Closure from 20:00 on 14 January to 06:00 on 15 January.

Required in order to carry out the next phase of joint repairs.

Diversion via the M48 Severn Bridge WB with freight managed over the M48 diversion route.

15 January

Full westbound closure of the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge between J22 & J23.

Closure from 20:00 on 15 January to 06:00 on 16 January.

Required in order to complete this joint repair.

Diversion via the M48 Severn Bridge WB with freight managed over the M48 diversion route.

There will be a forecast call on Wednesday to gain greater clarity on the high winds risk for Thursday.
