Muhammad Tayub, Supply Chain Degree Apprentice – ASDA.

Hi, I’m Muhammad. I am just starting my journey as a Supply Chain Apprentice with Asda Logistics; my first placement will be at the Lutterworth ADC depot.

I’m from Leicester and recently completed my A-Levels in business, accounting and maths earning AAC. I chose this apprenticeship because I’ve always admired Asda not just as a brand, but for how it operates on such a massive scale to serve millions of customers. I’ve been genuinely curious about what goes on behind the scenes in logistics and supply chains, and this felt like the perfect opportunity to dive in and learn from the inside.

Before joining Asda, I worked as a sales assistant, which helped me build strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with customers. It also taught me how to stay sharp and adaptable in fast paced environments.

On top of that, I’ve had hands on experience with reselling sourcing products, managing deliveries and making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. That gave me a real taste of logistics and how important organisation and planning are.

I’m someone who loves creating, whether it’s launching a new idea, building a project, or chasing personal goals. I’m also big on staying active, especially through football, which has taught me a lot about teamwork, discipline and pushing myself. I’ve often been told I bring energy and solutions to group work, and I take pride in being someone others can rely on.

Through this apprenticeship, I’m excited to gain real-world experience, learn from experts in the field and grow the skills I’ll need to build a successful career with Asda Logistics.
