50 new compact vans enter Co-op’s service

Co-op is expanding its electric home delivery fleet with the integration of more than 50 new Toyota Proace City compact vans as part of a £1.5 million investment.

Toyota, an established partner of Co-op’s Quick Commerce app-based delivery operation, sees this latest vehicle acquisition programme as an extension of this relationship.

The Toyota Proace City EV compact van is available in two body lengths, can carry a payload of up to 990kg with a towing capacity of up to one tonne and all versions have enough space for two Europallets. The Smart Cargo folding seat system adds to cargo capacity and enables longer items to be carried.

It is a key model in Toyota’s professional light commercial range with powertrain options to meet different business needs and priorities and will be put to work in Co-op’s service to support its carbon reduction and net zero goals.
