March was an extremely busy month for Logistics UK’s press office, with the team providing comment on a wide variety of issues to ensure awareness of its members’ views continues to resonate with opinion formers, politicians and the media.

Key topics generating media interest during March included the conflict in the Middle East and its effect on supply chains, the Chancellor’s Spring Statement, the scrapping of the proposed A303 Stonehenge Tunnel scheme, and the skills shortage.

Between 1 and 24 March 2026, 287 items of editorial coverage were placed by the team, creating the opportunity for over 2.5 billion people to learn Logistics UK’s point of view on the topics under debate.

The month ahead

During April the media team will continue to raise awareness of members’ opinions on topics affecting the sector, including the effects of the Middle East conflict on supply chains, trade and border issues, and decarbonisation.

The team will continue to highlight the industry’s skills shortages, promoting the Generation Logistics campaign at every opportunity and Logistics UK’s Best Truckstop of the Year 2026 campaign, which draws attention to the need for better facilities for all.

The team will continue to promote Logistics UK’s 2026 events programme and its online wellbeing hub, THRIVE.

Have you got a story? If you are keen to speak to the media about a pressing issue – from skills shortages to fuel costs, urban restrictions to future logistics – or to highlight some of the great work your organisation is doing, we would love to hear from you as journalists are always keen to hear from those affected personally by the issues we are raising with them.

We are also keen to publicise those with personal achievements to shout about – maybe staff members who have received special awards or with unusual hobbies or expertise. And as always, the media is keen to talk to women working across the industry – we are particularly on the lookout for female drivers who are happy to talk to the press.

Please contact the media team at [email protected] – we look forward to hearing from you!
