Details of this group are only available to Logistics UK members. To find out more about all Logistics UK councils please visit our Logistics UK Councils information page.
Secretary: Katie Adams
Terms of Reference
The Low Carbon Fuel (LCF) Working Group is a sub-group of the Decarbonisation Working Group and seeks to influence, inform and educate elected representatives and policy makers about the role of LCF in reducing road, rail, air and maritime transport emissions in the transition to net zero.
The group’s purpose is to:
- Shape, inform and help direct Logistics UK’s policy positions for influencing UK government and European and global regulatory agencies around the production, support and use of LCF in the transition away from fossil fuels.
- Create a forum for the presentation, understanding and discussion of the role of LCF in the logistics sector.
- Promote both the adoption of LCF as a way to reduce transport greenhouse gas emissions immediately in the absence of suitable zero emission tailpipe technologies and highlight the critical role LCF will play in the longer term for hard-to-decarbonise modes and vehicles.
- Seek opportunities to collaborate with other relevant bodies and experts working around LCF within and beyond the transport sector.
The group will operate according to Logistics UK’s Rules on the Conduct of meetings.
