Logistics has faced challenges from both COVID and Brexit over the past 2 years and we will review how this has impacted businesses, how they have adapted, whether it has changed their attitudes to risk and what learnings can be made.
Moving into the present and looking forward, experts from leading logistics brands will review the preparedness of logistics for the route to net zero, its resilience in the face of a skills shortage, how new technologies could hold the key to improved resilience and what financial help is available to enable logistics to meet these challenges. They will also share their experience of achieving resilience for their supply chains.
This FREE event will take place on Wednesday 30 March 2022 at America Square Conference Centre, London.
After a welcome and introduction from our Conference Chair, Phil Roe, Non-Executive Director of Logistics UK, the programme will open with a Keynote speech that will set the scene for the sessions to follow and determine what resilience in Supply Chains means.
This will be followed by a case study examining Resilience post COVID. Reflecting on the lessons learnt from operating during a global pandemic and multiple national lockdowns, how this impacted socially, how businesses have had to adapt and how attitudes to risk have changed.
We will then move on to look at economic and financial resilience and receive an update on some of the financial help available to help Logistics meet it's current and future challenges, from leasing schemes and government grants to specialist insurance.
A case study will follow looking at resilience post Brexit, the globalisation of supply chains, what's next for just in time and sector resilience and preparedness for new borders and controls.
A further Keynote speech will examine workforce resilience, with a look at how employers can grow their talent pool and remain competitive.
Our afternoon sessions will start with a case study looking at resilience whilst reaching Net Zero and how to introduce new green technologies whilst keeping your business strong and flexible.
The final session of the day will discuss new technology as a key to resilience and investigate how cyber security, automation, autonomous vehicles and warehouse/ stock management can all play their part in improving resilience.
