Logistics UK joins Freight Energy Forum

Logistics UK is delighted to be a part of the new influential industry-government Freight Energy Forum, established as part of the Future of Freight plan. The forum aims to support all modes in the transition to net zero by 2050, create a plan to roll out future industry energy infrastructure and explore solutions to help the freight sector start reducing emissions immediately.  

Following the forum’s first meeting on 5 April 2023 – attended by 25 senior-level representatives from across the energy, rail, maritime, automotive, infrastructure, warehousing and logistics sectors – Senior Policy Manager for Logistics UK, Denise Beedell, commented: 

“As the only business group representing the whole of the logistics industry, Logistics UK is delighted to be part of the Freight Energy Forum and represent the needs of our members in identifying and clarifying the energy infrastructure and solutions needed for industry to reach net zero. It was certainly very encouraging during our first meeting to see senior government officials engaging closely with key business sectors on the transport decarbonisation agenda.”
