This new regular feature will highlight some of the most common issues and concerns raised through Logistics UK’s MAC and Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) audit team.

As part of our commitment to keeping members informed, we will also use this space to invite views on current matters being discussed at Department for Transport (DfT) Dangerous Goods Working Groups.

What is the DfT Dangerous Goods Working Group?

The DfT Dangerous Goods Working Group meets quarterly to consider issues raised by the competent authorities of the contracting parties to the ADR Convention. Items for discussion are submitted in the form of official “papers”, each of which is reviewed and debated by the group. Following discussion, these papers progress to the United Nations for consideration and possible submission into ADR. All published papers and meeting details can be accessed via the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) website, the link to which can be found here.

How members can get involved

The next UK DfT Dangerous Goods Working Group meeting will take place on 12 March 2026. We are inviting members to share their views on any current issues or concerns ahead of this meeting. Your feedback is important and will help shape our input into the discussions.
