Digital updates to our Roadworthiness Inspection
We’ve made technological improvements to our Roadworthiness Inspections, so you can experience the same quality Roadworthiness Inspections with improved benefits.
What improvements have we made?
We’re continuing to invest in technology that supports our Vehicle Roadworthiness Inspection Service, combining trusted inspection expertise with advanced digital tools, including the Translogik TLGX3 tyre inspection system.
While the expertise and thoroughness of our inspections remain unchanged, the technology enables our engineers to capture tyre pressure and tread depth measurements digitally, providing operators with accurate inspection data and greater visibility of vehicle condition. Integrated with Vision, our fleet management platform, inspection information can be stored, accessed and reported on through one connected system.
Together, digital data capture and expert vehicle inspections help operators gain valuable fleet insights, support maintenance planning and maintain safe, compliant and roadworthy vehicles.
What are the benefits of the updates?
Accurate and Fast Information
Capture tyre pressure and tread depth readings digitally, providing quick access to accurate inspection information without the need for manual recording.
Reduced Administration
Digital data capture reduces paperwork and manual data entry, helping streamline inspection record management.
Connected to Vision
Inspection data is seamlessly integrated with our Vision platform, providing easy access to records, reporting and vehicle information in one place.
Enhanced Traceability
Digital records create a clear audit trail, giving operators greater visibility of inspection activity and supporting effective record keeping.
Reduced Tyre and Fuel Costs
Monitor tyre condition more effectively, helping identify potential issues earlier and supporting tyre performance and fuel efficiency.
Better Fleet Insights
Transform inspection data into actionable insights, helping support maintenance planning and informed fleet management decisions.
2024 Government data shows that…
-Whilst there has been a steady decline in both initial and final MOT failure rates for HGVs and trailers from 2013/14 to 2023/24, brake system failures have increased recently.
-HGV failure rates rise from 3.3% for vehicles up to 1 year old to 23.9% for those 12+ years old.
-Trailer failure rates increase from 2.7% for new trailers to 15.9% for those 12+ years old.
-Smaller fleets have a greater risk of MOT failure than larger fleets, with single-vehicle fleets having a 17.9% failure rate, compared to larger vehicle fleets with over101 vehicles, which have a much lower rate of 4.1%.
