Influencing Logistics UK's policy positions

As one of the country’s largest business groups, Logistics UK employs thought leadership and strategic engagement with policy makers to drive logistics up the agenda, and to boost the UK’s ambitions for the future of our sector. This includes engaging closely with ministers and senior officials across government departments, as well as devolved governments and regional authorities.

We promote key agendas for logistics from innovative and integrated infrastructure, a fair transition to a green economy, skills partnerships to support a thriving sector, trade as a driver of innovation and productivity, and championing what logistics delivers for households, public services, businesses and the economy every day.   

From engaging with our President's Council and working groups to joining our conferences, strategic roundtables, webinars and dinners, as an Executive Member you can play a key role in informing Logistics UK’s policy positions and shaping its campaign priorities.

President's Council, modal councils and working groups

Our President's Council, modal councils and working groups support the interests of the whole of the logistics sector on land, by water and by air.

Convening throughout the year, they engage with key stakeholders and decision makers from government and public bodies and inform our policy positions, so we can effectively represent the sector's interests.

Our Executive Members can engage with and potentially become future members of the President's Council and working groups.

Responses to consultations
